Trump to talk to FBI about attempted murder incident

Washington (iBlogtren.com) - Former US President Donald Trump said in an interview that he will talk to the FBI on Thursday about an attempted murder incident against him while campaigning in Butler, Pennsylvania in early July.
“(The FBI) is coming on Thursday to see me,” Trump told Fox News on Monday (July 29).
Trump further said that he believes there should have been a security guard on the roof of the building where the gunman was during the shooting.
The Republican presidential candidate also said that the US Secret Service should have communicated with local police, but did not.
On July 13, Trump suffered a gunshot wound to his right ear and was hospitalized after an assassination attempt during a campaign stop in Butler. Thomas Crooks, 20, killed an onlooker and wounded two others in the crowd before the Secret Service incapacitated him.
The FBI continues to investigate the attempted murder. The incident prompted US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to resign after being criticized for not preventing the assassination attempt.
Furthermore, Trump also commented on the possibility of him debating with Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris. Both are scheduled to participate in a debate hosted by ABC on September 10.
“The answer is yes. I will probably end up debating. The answer is yes, but I can also come up with reasons not to,” Trump said.
Trump explained that he could decide to cancel the debate because he doesn't want to reward “fake news,” adding that ABC could reap tens of millions of dollars from the debate. He also described the ABC network as a “bad company.”
